Hi all,
After 3 years I think my WL-500g has givin up on me :(.
The average download speed is cut in half when I connect the router to my modem. When I directly connect the modem to my pc; the speed is back up again. I tested this with an old Edimax router and with this router I get the full speed again.
So, I've come to the conclusion that the Asus is defective. (I already tried firware upgrades)
Anyway, I'm planning to replace the 500g with the 600g, but I do have a small little problem.
Currently, I have an HP Laserjet 1300 connected to the router with a parallel cable. Everything is working fine.
The WL-600g has an USB print port instead. Now, I'm very lucky that the Laserjet can either be connected with parallel or USB.
The point is, that the Laserjet 1300 is not listed in the compatibility table from Asus.
Does anybody know if this printer will work though USB and the WL-600g.
If not, do you have any advice on a replacement for the WL-500g which will work with my printer?
